#1 Visit the markets!
Take a stroll around the markets on the weekend. The Albany markets are filled with colourful sounds and smells designed to delight the tastebuds and senses. People come from all over to visit the Albany markets.
The Albany area produces some of the best produce in Western Australia. From Organic foods to home baked goodies you can get it all at the farmers Market. Shop like the locals and pick up your weeks food that will have you cooking like a chef.
Time: Every Saturday 8am until 12pm

Grab some freshly caught fish from the boat shed markets. Discover some of Albany’s best coffee and wander around enjoying the stalls. The market officially opens at 10am when the traditional bell is rang. Often the markets have live music by local artists to enjoy.

#2 Swim at Middleton Beach!
Middleton beach is a long, sheltered beach perfect for taking a swim. A park and playground with tables makes for a nice spot to have some lunch. A small jetty is located at the end of the beach and is ideal for a stroll along. Make the most of sunny days in Albany and soak up the beauty of Albany from Middleton Beach. A popular place for visitors and locals. One of the best times to visit Middleton Beach is early in the morning. Watch the ‘oldies’ take a cold morning swim as the sun wakes up. #3 Fish at Emu Point!
Emu point is ideal for a day out and a fishing trip. Pack the rods and try your luck on the inlet as the tides turn. Locals find this spot a good spot to catch Pink Snapper, King George whiting and Silver Brim. Watch the fishing boats and pleasure boats as they head out the inlet. Emu point is also a great place for a swim and is often enjoyed by the locals. A cafe, kids playground, BBQ’s, tables and chairs are all located at Emu point.
